Safety.
justice.
efficiency.
Transparency.

On any normal day, we the people can all agree that we want the above words to describe our public safety, no matter what community we’re a part of.

If we call 911, we expect and hope that a law enforcement officer will respond quickly to aide us in our time of need.

We can all agree that whomever we vote for should make public safety a priority, and be transparent with their policies, our taxpayer dollars, and any misconduct that may occur with those in positions of trust.

But despite those hopes and expectations, we still see numerous examples in California of waste, abuse, corruption, staff misconduct, and even unconstitutional actions by those in charge of public safety in our communities.
